Completing an Individual Project is a great way to practice presentations and demonstrate your skills. The steps below* outline how to complete this type of assignment.


Add Videos

You can add videos in 2 ways:


  1. Upload Video:

      To upload a video, click the Plus icon in the lower right corner. This will bring up a list of available actions.

      Select the the lowest icon to add a video.

      Select Upload Video.

      You can upload a video from (1) your device, (2) Google Drive, (3) Dropbox, or (4) OneDrive.

      Click Begin Upload.

      Once submitted, your video will begin processing. This can take up to 30 minutes. 


  2. Record directly in platform:

To add a video, click the Plus icon in the lower right corner. This will bring up a list of available actions.

Select the the lowest icon to add a video.

Share_Desktop.png
Examples: Presentation slides, tutorials, skills demonstrations. 
*You will not be able to synchronize visual aids to the video after recording.
**At this time, desktop share is not available on mobile.

After checking your preferred option(s)*, select Record Video.

*To record a presentation: pull up your presentation on your desktop, then simultaneously record your webcam and desktop while giving your presentation.

First, make sure the audio bar is moving. You can also change which camera and mic are being used.

Once you are ready, click Record in the middle of the screen.

When you have completed your video, click Stop to finish the recording.

You can review/download your video before submitting. If you would like to retry, click the Discard button.

Once you are satisfied with your recording, click the Save button.

After saving, your video will begin processing; this can take up to 30 minutes. 

While processing, your video will be listed in the Work In Progress section. You can watch and re-record your video as many times as you like.


Mark Video As Ready

After the video is done processing, you will need to mark it as "ready" before you are able to submit it. 

Click on the three vertical dots and then click on "Mark as Ready".


Submit Assignment

Once you are ready to submit, you can submit your assignment.

Preparing Presentation Slides


Most students create their presentations in either PowerPoint or Keynote. Unfortunately, PowerPoint and Keynote presentation files cannot be uploaded directly into video assignments. Below are the instructions for preparing both PowerPoint and Keynote presentation slide decks for uploading into video assignments. 


PowerPoint

  1. Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
  2. Click File > Export.
  3. Choose the location where you want to save your files, and then in the File Format box, click the option that says, "JPEG".


Keynote

  1. Open your presentation in Keynote.
  2. Click File > Export To > Images...
  3. Make sure the dot for "Slides" is set to "All".
  4. Make sure "Format" is set to JPEG
  5. Click Next...
  6. Choose the location where you want to save your files, and then click the "Export"button.
