Faculty - Copy Content From Previous Semesters


By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to...

  • Copy content from previous semesters and import the content into another course.


IMPORTANT: Copied content retains any dates and will need to be updated under "Course Admin > Manage Dates". Please contact eLearning if you need assistance with this process.


1. Click on "Course Admin" and click on "Import/Export/Copy Components" within the course you are wanting to copy.

2. Choose "Copy Components from another Org Unit" and search for the course.

If you would like to copy components from a course that you have not taught previously, please contact eLearning for setup.

2. Choose "Copy Components from another Org Unit" and search for the course.


3. Choose "Copy All Components" or "Select Components".

You have the option to copy the entire course as it is currently, or to select the components that you want to copy individually.  Please keep in mind that selecting the components individually may result in more editing.

3. Choose "Copy All Components" or "Select Components".


4. Complete Copy

To determine if your copy was successful, look for a green and white checkmark icon.
