There are 2 reasons why you may received a "Scheduled Maintenance" page when attempting to login or navigate to your courses in D2L Brightspace. 

  1. D2L takes Brightspace down for scheduled maintenance about once per month. This maintenance typically occurs on Saturdays, once per month, from 11:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. on Sunday. During this time, users will receive the "Scheduled Maintenance" message when they attempt to login and you will not be able to access D2L Brightspace at all. 
  2. Occasionally, when a user attempts to use D2L Brightspace during an outage that maintenance page will get "stuck" in the web browser's cache. If you are able to sign into D2L Brightspace but receive the "Scheduled Maintenance" page when you try to navigate to your course, hold down the Control key and press the R key on your keyboard (CTRL + R) with the "Scheduled Maintenance" page showing on your screen.
